File Uploads & Photos
Every claim has a Files tab where you can upload photos, documents, estimates, reports, and correspondence. Files are stored securely in the cloud and organized by category.
Uploading files
Open a claim, go to the Files tab, and click Upload. You can select multiple files at once. Supported formats include images (JPG, PNG, HEIC), PDFs, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and most common file types. The maximum file size is 100 MB per file.
Categories
When uploading, you can assign files to a category for easier organization:
- Photos — loss site photos, damage documentation
- Documents — assignment letters, policy pages
- Estimates — Xactimate, contractor quotes
- Reports — your generated reports, supplemental reports
- Correspondence — emails, letters to/from the carrier
- Other — anything else
Photo thumbnails
Uploaded images are automatically resized into thumbnails for fast loading on the claim page. Click any thumbnail to view the full-resolution original. This keeps the app fast even on cellular connections in the field.
Downloading files
Click any file to download it. Files are served through secure, time-limited URLs that expire after one hour — your data is never publicly accessible.
Voice memos
You can record voice memos directly from the Notes tab (see Notes & Time Tracking). Voice recordings are stored alongside your other files with the duration displayed for easy reference.
Storage
All plans include generous cloud storage. Files are encrypted at rest and backed up automatically. If you need to track storage usage, contact support.
