Claim Atlas

Frequently Asked Questions

General

What is Claim Atlas?

Claim Atlas is claims management software built specifically for independent adjusters. It handles everything from first notice of loss through final report — notes, photos, documents, expenses, time tracking, reminders, SLA milestones, and carrier reports — all from your phone or computer.

Who built this?

Claim Atlas is built by a working independent adjuster who got tired of juggling spreadsheets, email folders, and Word documents to manage claims. The app is designed around how adjusters actually work in the field.

Is there a mobile app?

Claim Atlas is a progressive web app (PWA) that works like a native app on any phone or tablet. Add it to your home screen in one tap — no app store download needed. See the Mobile setup guide for instructions.

What browsers are supported?

Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox — all current versions. The app works best in Chrome and Safari.

Account & billing

Do I need a credit card to start the trial?

No. The 14-day free trial requires only an email and password. You'll be asked for payment info near the end of the trial if you want to continue.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from Settings → Billing at any time. You keep access through the end of your billing period.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your data is preserved in read-only mode for 90 days after your subscription ends. You can reactivate your account at any time during that window and pick up where you left off. After 90 days, data is permanently deleted.

Can I switch plans?

Yes. Upgrade or downgrade anytime from the billing page. Changes are prorated.

Do you offer annual billing?

Yes — all plans offer annual billing at a 15% discount compared to monthly. You can switch between monthly and annual from the billing portal.

Security & data

Where is my data stored?

Your data is stored in encrypted databases hosted in the United States. Files (photos, documents) are stored in Cloudflare R2 with 99.999999999% durability. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.

Can other customers see my data?

No. Claim Atlas is multi-tenant with strict data isolation. Every database query is scoped to your account. There is no way for one customer to access another's claims, files, or user accounts.

Do you support two-factor authentication?

Yes. Enable TOTP-based 2FA from your account settings. Works with Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, and any other TOTP app. See Settings.

Features

Can I import claims from another system?

Not yet — bulk import is on the roadmap. For now, claims are created individually through the app. If you have a large number of claims to migrate, contact us and we can help.

Does Claim Atlas integrate with Xactimate?

Not directly at this time. You can upload Xactimate estimates as files on any claim. Direct integration is planned for a future release.

Can I customize the report format?

Reports follow the industry-standard carrier report format that most insurance companies expect. You can fill in only the sections that apply to each claim. Custom report templates are planned for a future release.

Is there an API?

Not yet. A public API is on the roadmap for Phase 2. If you have a specific integration need, reach out and we'll work with you.
